i've downloaded the setup for windows live messenger, but it wont install it just comes up Error 0x80070643, please help!

Maybe its because your not logged in to the administrators account
re-download the msn from a good site like downloads.com
then uninstal the old version and install the new one
Try clearing your internet cache, or restarting your computer, or checking your internet connection status. It might just work after you check them/ restart them and then reinstall it. Or.. contact the msn admins for help.
Try uninstalling the messenger then re installing. try that! Or your computer might not be compatible with windows live. Update your computer!
Actually the first answer is right. don't bother with the rest. Its because you need to be an admin to install it.
