I'm using Vista 32 bit Ultimate OS. When I try to run Windows Live Messenger, it just locks up. In the task manager it shows WLM running. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing WLM and even the OS, and then same problem happens. Right now I have to use MSN 7.5. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Could it be possible that you don't have enough RAM? WLM uses up a lot of RAM for a instant messaging program, so especially if you have an older computer. Try using task manager to close other programs (Windows Sidebar) and then try again.
