Why is my MSN/Windows Live Messenger not responding anymore??

My msn hasn't been responding this whole week!

I set my msn to automatically open and sign into my account everytime i turn on the computer. But these few days, msn would sign in and pop up the msn window, but then it won't respond. Everytime i put the cursor on the msn window there would be a timer thingy (the thing with the sand dropping down a glass timer thing [i forgot wut it was called]), but then no matter how long i wait it won't do anything. I had no choice but to close the window each time, and msn wouldn't open again for the time to computer is turn on, even if i try re-opening msn.

Why is this??

P.S I have Windows Live Messenger, I think it was version 8.0

close MSN

then go to

start

control panel

add and remove programmes

'msn'

'change'

when the wizard appears select 'repair'

wait until it finishes

then sign in again

check if you have some kind of virus, (scan your pc)

also get MSN cleaner

if you are running a p2p (emule, ares) ,these use a lo of bandwidth when runnign full speed, .. (in this case, slow down the p2p and restart the router) ..

check if you installed a skin, scipt, plugin, animated display or sth. recently .. that might be the reason ..

check if the versions MSN is according to your operating system and hardware

when nothing helps, restore system to a date when your MSn worked well..
