Firewall blocking windows live messenger?

I cannot log into my windows live messenger anymore. It tells me that my firewall is blocking access. How can I fix this??

What kind of firewall do you have? Just windows or something else that you bought? You should be able to open which ever one and lower the setting to allow it. If you do not want to do this, then there should be some sort of exeption that you can do and add your windows messenger into the allow section of your firewall. It would really help to know your firewall type so that I could help a little better. Update your question so that I can try to help you out better.

Depends what firewall you have, but if its window's firewall, do the following:

Go to security center in the control panel

Enter windows firewall

Click the Exceptions tab

Select windows live messenger and click OK.

Should be okay now.
