I have been blocking someone since the beginning of this year. The only thing holding me back from deleting them is this: after you delete someone on windows live messenger, can they still see your status?

Yes. If they are blocked then no but if they are deleted and unblocked they can still see everything.

if you are online windows messenger will tell them you are online
do you have a choice to appear offline or away
of course they can you have to block them for that to stop. go to options and go to blocks and select that user and your problem is solved!
If you delete them whilst they're still blocked they wont be able to see your status.
always block and delete
if u block sum one then u should appear offline to them so if u delete them while they r blocked on ur list then they will b gone n u will always appear offline to them
