it says that a firewall is blocking the connection with windows live messenger

go to your window firewall and allow this program to run

turn off your firewall for that specific thing
Add the program to your firewalls allow list, disable the firewall, or forget about windows live messenger.
go to controlpanel then run firewall and unblock the massenger
