Why do my MSN/Windows Live Messenger contacts appear offline on YM when they are in fact online?

I just installed the YM 3.0 Beta 1 for Mac. Upon finding out that I can include my MSN/Windows Live Messenger contacts to the YM Beta, I proceeded to send out invites to all my MSN contacts so that I can add them to my YM Beta. But since doing so, none of my MSN/WLM contacts ever appear online in my YM even though in fact, they are. I tried this with my own WLM ID, and same thing - my WLM ID doesn't show up.

Can someone tell me why this happens? And does it make a difference if a person is still using MSN Messenger and has not upgraded to WLM?

But if that's the case, why doesn't my WLM ID show up (I've upgraded from the normal MSN).

When did this happend to you?

Since past couple of days, I realize there has been some problem with this YM-MSN interoperability thing. The status of my MSN contact is not shown properly.

As far as I know, this is a problem with these IM server side. We'll just have to wait a few days (hopefully not longer) for it to work properly again. It's not the first time it has happened to me, and it's kinda annoying.

It's like this.... sometimes when I'm online, some fat ugly chick from Wisconsin will IM me the second I come online. SOO.... I disable my online status.... Like Chris Rock said "Let me get my other foot in the door"!!!

Different IM servers... Different online status. My suggestion, leave it alone.
Yep, they are all hiding from you. Ask them if they are on invisable status.

1)Not having fast computer

2)not having fast internet connection

3)bad internet service from you country

4)A problem with you building

5)Having dangerous viruses

6)there is a fire wall protecting

10)yahoo messenger is getting very busy so do not except it to work very fast or there might be some problems

11)a part of your compuer is damaged

12)clean the viruses by:

Northon 360 anti virus or viruscan antivirus

13)hackers are in your computer and can do anything they like plz avoid them like stop chatting with those guys who you do not know who are they

14)you have broken cookies delet them and restart

15)if you can not log in i 50% think that the problem is with the firewall or the cookies which you put on BLOCK ALL COOKIESoptin and so it will not log in you can cancel it by going in the tools in the menu bar and the internet option and then privacy and put the option on the MEDIUM and retry log going the internet explorer again

17)you can go to internet option and change the option maybe the problem is from there

18)reinstall the yahoo messenger with voice because maybe there was an error while you downloaded it .so please redownloadit

19)typing wrong id or password so i advice you to press on forgot password or id and get them to be sure you are typing correctly

20)please try MSN messenger also because maybe your computer doesnou trusth the yahoo messenger so you can go to tools and then internet option and then go to the security or privacy and cancel it.

21)i can suggest that you have yahoo-anti spy or yahoo toolbar . This is because 10% of people who are using internet are hacker. Yahoo has just made a new program that protects from your computer very strong you may not chat them or add them because yahoo will not allow them to do so if you do not want this option go to internet option and just delet it but i advice you not do this or you have to buy another computer.

These are the things i have suggested and please be careful about the hackers and if you still had problems you can ask someone who knows very good in the computer and please before that tell him about the problems i have described for you

Yahoo/MSN's integration has problems... I often have times where people on MSN receive my messages but can't reply. This seems to occur every couple of weeks and then works great for awhile only to return to this same behavior.... They need to get it right!
